Taking a speech class last year at Fort Zumwalt West High School helped Aaron Andersen decide on a career goal.
"I really enjoyed the radio segment and was told that I had a decent radio voice," he said. "I'm thinking about maybe radio or sports journalism.
"
This fall, Aaron will attend the University of Missouri in Columbia, where he will major in journalism on a Curator's Scholarship.
At West, Aaron was a receiver and cornerback for the football team and a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He is a member of Positive Peer Influence, won the Sportsmanship Award, was named to the Academic All-Conference Team this year and carries a 4.2 cumulative grade-point average.
"I used to be shy when I was younger, but playing football has really helped build my confidence,
" he said.

Favorite book: "The Screwtape Letters."
Favorite movie: "Tommy Boy."
Place he'd like to visit: New Zealand. I love forests, and it looks so beautiful there.
Most important lesson learned in high school: My dad taught me, "The most important thing to learn, is to learn HOW to learn.
